Adela, "Dolly" of Bensalem, PA., passed away on October 20, 2010 (at age 88) at St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorne, PA., following a series of strokes during the past several months. Dolly was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is predeceased by her husband, John W. Jr., her parents Ciriaco (Jerry) and Mary Piro (nee Mignone), and several siblings.

She will be greatly missed by her children, John W. III (Irene), Patricia Zuccato (Robert), Gerald (Regina), Ronald (Judy), Marie Kerins (Paul), and Margaret Robb (Frank); by her 20 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren, whom she always remembered in Christmas & Birthday cards & gifts. Dolly is also survived by her brother, Rudy Piro and her sister, Eleanor Cimato - both of Holmesburg (Phila.), and by her sister-in-law Catherine Murphy of Ocean View, NJ. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dolly was a tireless and devoted mother, who nurtured her 6 children while also being employed at full-time positions. She is a retiree from Whitman's Chocolates and served in several volunteer capacities at St. Charles Borromeo Church and School, St. Katherine's Drexel Mother House, and Frankford-Torresdale (Aria) Hospital.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at St. Charles Borromeo Church (Bensalem, PA) at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing Tuesday (Oct. 26) Evening 6-9 P.M. and Wednesday 9:30-10:30 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114. Interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. Memorial gifts may be directed to St. Katherine Drexel Mother House, 1663 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020.
