Our dear mother Adeline A Garvey (nee DeNofa) died peacefully on Feb 6, 2022.  She was the oldest daughter of 17 children born to Carmen and Molly DeNofa of Philadelphia.  She joins her deceased husband -Officer Charles J Garvey and her brothers, sisters and parents in all their eternity.  She leaves behind her children Lisa (Demore-Schmid) Charles and Joseph (Christine), along with her grandchildren Alia Demore and Rob Schulgen, Angela Nolan (Mike)  and their 3 children, Elizabeth and Molly Garvey.  She also leaves behind many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Adeline was a devoted daughter,  mother and wife who formerly was a proud co-owner of Molly's Girls Beauty Salon named after her loving mother.  She took pride in her beautiful home and enjoyed the most simple things in life like cooking, family gatherings, gardening and sunbathing in her own yard.  She was known for her sunny disposition and her selfless acts of kindness.   Throughout her life, she remained true to her Faith.  Her presence and beautiful smile will be missed dearly by all.

Due to covid, her children have decided to have a private service for the immediate family at Burns Funeral Home, Frankford Avenue.
