Albert F. Gindhart "Butch" passed away peacefully January 29, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Fishtown; resident of Cinnaminson, NJ. Butch was a disabled Vietnam Veteran; a roofer with Local 30, former owner of the Preliminary Bar on Cumberland St. and Donovan's Reef in West Wildwood; he was also an avid golfer. Beloved husband of 50 years to Norma (nee Moore). Loving father of Dawn Stepnowski (Frank), Christine Castagna (Rich), George (Holly), and the late Albert. Pop Pop of Samantha, Jessica, Mason, Christine, Frankie, Albert, Brendan, Santino, Michael, Ryan, and the late Cain. Brother of Joan, Bernadette, Peg, Lum, Kitty, Mary, Judy, Sue, Steven, Daniel and the late Rosemary, Michael, and Joseph. Also survived by many other loving family members. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday Evening 6:00-9:00 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 1428 E. Columbia Ave. Phila., PA 19125 and Tuesday 9:00–10:15 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Hunting Park Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Wounded Warriors, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 would be appreciated.
