Albert V. Thomas on October 27, 2018 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Barbara. Devoted father of Cyndi Hinchey (Edward), Pati Minahan (Michael), and Steven (Kelli McRory). Dear Pop Pop of Eddie III (Shannon McCloskey), Timmy, Erin, Tommy, Danny, Seamus, Mark, Megan and Alyssa. Brother of Robert (Anne), Eileen Macht (Robert), and the late Joseph (Sue).Brother in law of Butch Grous (Carole) and Bob Grous (Fran).  Also survived by his extended loving family and friends. Albert was a U.S. Army Veteran, American Legion Member Chaplin #735, and former President of St. Katherine of Siena Primrose Club. He was also an avid Philadelphia Sports fan. Albert enjoyed his time with family, loved joking around and enjoyed trips to Wildwood beach. He was a former employee of Rohm and Haas for 42 years. Al enjoyed whistling and was a member of St. Timothy Parish Adult Choir. A North Catholic graduate in 1953, Al was very involved in the Holy Terrors STARS Sports Program as well as the Youth Sports at Roosevelt Playground. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday 9-11 AM at BURNS FUNERL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church. Interment private.
