It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice L. Brooks (nee Laboranti) on March 21, 2025, at the age of 86. Alice was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose love for her family knew no bounds.

Alice was the devoted wife of Gary Brooks and a loving mother to Theresa McIntire (Frank), Lisa Terrill, Gary Jr. (Rowena), Steven (Mayra), Laura Hill, and Anthony (Stacey). She cherished her role as "mom-mom" to 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her legacy of love, devotion, and joy will live on through each of them.

A woman of immense warmth, Alice found great joy in her family. She was a proud lunch mom at St Bartholomew's school, always eager to help and share her nurturing spirit with the children. Alice had an enduring love for Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music, often with a smile on her face. She also adored playing bingo, a pastime that brought her excitement and laughter, whether she was calling out numbers or celebrating a win with friends. Her competitive spirit shone brightly when she won a twist dance contest, a proud moment that showcased her lively energy and dance-floor flair. Her love for dogs (Romeo and Rutger) was matched only by her love for her husband, Gary, with whom she shared many cherished moments, especially when they would dance together, a memory that will stay with those who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by her funeral service. Alice will be laid to rest at Beechwood Cemetery.

Alice's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit of love, kindness, and laughter will be deeply missed.
