Obituary
Alice T. McGrath (nee Burke) passed away January 29, 2022. Loving wife of the late Thomas. Sister to the late James Burke, Dorothy Milligan, Thomas Burke and George Burke. Alice was also survived by 18 loving nieces and nephews and 4 pre deceased. Alice was a working girl, a Graduate of John W. Hallahan for girls, Class of 1947, Administrative Secretary and Ward Clerk at St. Mary's Hospital in Fishtown until she retired in 1972 and moved to North Wildwood. Alice continued to work part-time as a Salesgirl in Stone Harbor while enjoying many road trips with her husband Tom, good friend Ann and her brother George and Sister-in-law Dottie. Alice volunteered and was a fundraiser at Deborah Heart and Lung in New Jersey and was honored with an Award for her dedication and service. In her spare time, she enjoyed long walks around Wildwood, sewing, shopping, fundraising, dining out with Tom and visits with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Holy Name of Jesus Church (701 Gaul St. Philadelphia PA 19125) from 10AM-11AM followed by her Funeral Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 in her memory would be appreciated.
