Ann M. Hawthorne (née Durning) passed away on April 30, 2026.
Beloved wife of Judson and loving mother of Katie. Cherished daughter of Marie and Jerry Effen. She is also survived by many loving cousins.
Ann grew up in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia and carried a deep love for her roots throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and, above all, treasured the moments she shared with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by her Funeral Service. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
