Anthony "Tony" T. Watson

WATSON, Anthony T., affectionately known as “Bone” to those who loved him, passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 45. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Jane Watson (nee Whiteley); his grandparents: George and Patricia Whiteley, and Eugene and Mildred Watson. Survived by his sister Jennifer, his niece and nephew, Alaina and Evan (Jen), great-niece Sophia, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tony was a kind, decent and genuinely good-hearted person. Those who knew him best remember his incredible intelligence and his deep love of learning. He had an impressive wealth of knowledge, particularly when it came to trivia. Watching Jeopardy! was a favorite pastime, and he could answer most of the questions before the contestants. He was drawn to educational programs, especially those about science, always eager to learn something new, and to share that knowledge with those around him.

You could generally find Tony with a can of Mountain Dew or iced tea in his hand-working on a rooftop earning a living. Life threw him a bunch of lemons from an early age, but he never lost his humanity. He always showed up (maybe a little late!) – willing to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to his funeral services on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Viewing 9:30-11:30am; Funeral service at 11:30am. Interment private.
