After a prolonged illness, Arlene B. Goad passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Silver Lake Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92.
Arlene was born September 1, 1921 in Clearville, PA. An original Levittowner, Arlene lived many years in Levittown before moving to Lawrenceville, NJ where she resided with her Son, Michael for over 40 years. She returned recently to Levittown to live with her daughter.
Along with her travels to Europe, and through the United States Alaska; Arlene's favorite times were attending as many family functions as possible including athletic events, school events and special holidays with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arlene worked many years for ETS in Princeton, NJ before her retirement in 1986. Arlene was an active member of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church, Lawrenceville, NJ.
Arlene was preceded in death by her son, Michael, her parents, Ura and Walter Bowman, her brothers; Floyd, Kenneth and Ronald Bowman and sisters, Vera Cunard and Mildred Beegle. She is survived by a daughter, Claudia Megahan (Ronald), grandchildren, Susan Reid (Terence), David Megahan (Kathleen) and Laura Wright (William), great grandchildren, Kristen and Michael Megahan, Katrina, Ashley and Tori Wright. She is also survived by brothers, Brayton Bowman (Arlene), Gerald Bowman (Marylou), sisters; Ethel Ritchey, and Phoebe Husfelt, sister-in-law, Patricia Bowman and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather 10 AM on Saturday January 18, 2014 at Langhorne Methodist Church, 301 E. Maple Ave. Langhorne, PA followed by her Memorial Service 11 AM. Interment will be held privately.
