Arlene Rose Greenbaum, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 2, 2014 at her home in Levittown, PA after a lengthy struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. Arlene was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Paulene Schneiweis.
Arlene was the consummate Bubbie, doting upon her granddaughters Sam, Jessie and Chelsea. She loved knitting, books, theater and most of all, being surrounded by family and friends. A compassionate soul and good listener, she was always more interested in others than in talking about herself.
Arlene never retired from her position at ALC, a leading direct marketing data firm, where she was a Marketing Coordinator for 25 years. She is highly respected among her peers for creating one of the most successful events in the industry, the For Brokers Only Luncheon, which she ran for 18 years. She also served as President of the Temple Shalom Sisterhood for many years.
Arlene is survived and sadly missed by her daughter Fran Green and her husband Mark Yearick; her daughter Carol Schreiber and her husband Brett Schreiber and her granddaughter Chelsea Schreiber; her daughter-in-law Joan Greenbaum and her granddaughters Samantha and Jessica.
Her loving family will be holding a memorial service on Monday, July 7 at 11 A.M. at:
Burns Funeral Home
1514 Woodbourne Road
Levittown, Pennsylvania 19057
Phone: (215) 547 3040
Immediately following the service there will be a luncheon at Fran and Mark's house.
