Arthur (Ettore) DeLuca

Arthur “Ettore” DeLuca passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026 at the age of 102. He was born in Lago, Italy on February 13, 1924, and was the son to the late Fred DeLuca and Elvezia (Abate) DeLuca.

He is survived by his son, Arthur DeLuca (Barbara), and daughters, Ruth McGrath (Timothy), and Diane Bugieda (Thomas), as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis DeLuca and his brother Fred DeLuca (Linda).

Arthur served honorably in the United States Army during World War II, attaining the rank of Corporal. He was a member of Company C in the 1877th Engineer Aviation Battalion, stationed in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater.

Following his military service, he spent decades creating custom kitchen cabinetry and furnishings in Philadelphia. Spending time with family was Arthur’s greatest joy. Whether he was playing ping-pong or cornhole, singing Italian songs, or cooking a meal for everyone to enjoy, Arthur made every gathering feel special.

He possessed a rare gift for making people laugh just by being himself, and the memories he created with those around him will always be remembered. Arthur was truly unforgettable and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Arthur's graveside service with military honors on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to arrive no later than 10:15 a.m.
