Barbara Ann George "Bobbie" (nee Chelius) passed away on December 17, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Edwin John Chelius and Jessie Gertrude Chelius (nee Piasecki). Sister of the late Edwin Joseph Chelius, Jr. (Carmella). Niece of Lori Lynn Chelius. Mother of Wayne George (Janet), and the late Christopher George. Proud grandmother of Dustin George. Bobbie graduated from West Catholic Girls High School class of 1954; she was a member of St. Anselm's Church since 1965.

Retired from Willow Grove Naval Air Station after 34 years combined federal service. Worked for Army Quartermaster Depot after High School for 9 years and became a homemaker for 25 years while raising her 2 sons. Bobbie returned to work for the Naval Air Development Center and later to the Willow Grove Naval Air Station in a position of Housing Referral for Military relocating into the area. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church. Following her retirement she served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Medical Center, volunteered at Immaculate Mary Nursing Home and St. Katherine Drexel Shrine. Prayed for the unborn at Planned Parenthood site weekly. Prior to her retirement she participated for over 35 years in a weekly prayer service at Self Help Drug Movement, a local rehab. Her favorite sports were football, tennis, and golf.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday December 23, 2023 at St. Anselm's Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd. Phila., PA 19154 from 9 AM – 10:15 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 661 W. Germantown Ave. Suite 210, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 would be appreciated.
