Barbara A. Gillespie (nee Limper) passed away November 1, 2024 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Joseph ( Chuck ). Devoted Mother to Joseph, Jr.(JoAnn) and Shannon (Sharon). Cherished Mom-mom to many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister of Geraldine Limper (Joe) and James Limper (Joanne) and the late Charles, Kathleen and Marlene. Barbara was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Barbara worked as a Philadelphia Crossing Guard for over 30 years on the streets of Norris & Gaul and watched numerous generations of Fishtowner's grow up. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Holy Name of Jesus Church ( 701 Gaul St. Philadelphia PA 19125) from 10:00AM-11:00AM, followed by her Funeral Mass. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to either Holy Name of Jesus Church, or Palmer Cemetery in Fishtown.
