Barbara A. Hogeboom, passed away October 1, 2010 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia at the age of 69. Barbara was an original member of the Delta family since 1977.
Barbara was able to realize her dream to live in her own home and enjoy life in her community. She loved to sit outside on her covered deck, traveling in her neighborhood and socializing with her neighbors. Barbara loved to be out meeting people, attending church, shopping and getting her nails done. She loved keeping in touch with people via her computer and phone. Barbara was proud to be in the Person Centered Planning Pilot Project and asked to do a presentation recently for Support Coordinator training. She was a huge Elvis fan and had a great collection of memorabilia, many of which were gifts from her friends and family. Barbara enjoyed doing crafts and donated her finished products to raise money to help children. Barbara was a member of the Aktion Club through the Kiwanis Club, was actively involved in their charitable activities and was going to run for president in the upcoming election. Barbara was very well known and admired throughout the Delta family in which she will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved cat Sammy, whom she greatly missed, but is now reunited with.
Survived by her Aunt Dorothy Yescavage, Aunt Irene Delescavage and her cousins, Mary Ann Yescavage and her 3 children, Robert (Lynne) Hart and their 3 children, and James (Lisa) Hart and their 2 children. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday 1 PM at the BURNS FUNERAL HOME 1514 Woodbourne Rd. Levittown, PA followed by her Funeral Service at 2 PM. Interment is private.
