Obituary
Barbara Beer passed away at St. Mary's Catholic Home in Cherry Hill, N.J. surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old.
She was born in Katymar, Hungary in 1919. She survived a Russian workcamp for 2 years and was later reunited with her family. She came to the United States in January, 1950 with her family.
She was a longtime resident of Philadelphia and was a member of the ILGWU. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially at the shore. She was also a founding member of the St. Katherine's Primrose Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Beer. She is survived by her daughter Ann Phipps Ryan, and her grandchildren Barbara Phipps, Patty Kirk, (Robert), Michael Phipps (Julie Watson) and Theresa Kochuba (Joseph); and her great grandchildren Alec and Emily Phipps, Sam and Sean Kirk, and Lacey and Megan Kochuba.
Relatives, friends, and members of the Primrose Club and All Saints Senior Citizen Group are invited to her Viewing Monday, 9-9:45 A.M. at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. (S. of Grant Ave.). Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
