Barbara A. Toohey (nee Young) passed away on October 14, 2025. Loving mother of Sean Toohey (Alice) and Nicole Deming (Daniel). Cherished Mum-Mum to Grace, Max, and Ayla. Dear sister of Peter Young and Robert Young, and the late Kathleen Young.

Barbara deeply loved being surrounded by her family. Her absolute favorite place to spend time was "down the shore," where she found joy in every moment — from the ocean breeze to time spent with loved ones. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden and watching it bloom with care.

She dedicated over 30 years of service as an administrative assistant with the School District of Philadelphia, where her kindness, dedication, and reliability were admired by all who worked alongside her.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114) from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM, followed by Words of Remembrance. Interment private.
