Beatrice "Bea" Zelcs

Beatrice “Bea” Zelcs (née Smith) passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 85.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gene Zelcs. Bea was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Buck, and is survived by her loving children, Linda Woolbert (Robert), Gene, and Brian (Nicole), as well as her daughter-in-law, Diane Zelcs.

She was a devoted and adoring grandmom to Alyssa (James), Zachary, Jessica, Brian, Heather, and Carter, and a proud great-grandmother to Logan, Charlotte, and Noelle. Bea is also survived by her sister, Margaret “Peggy” Weiss, along with many generations of cherished nieces and nephews.

Bea had a deep love for the Mummers and the Phillies. She especially enjoyed cheering from the stands while her son Gene played football and proudly marching alongside her son Brian during his marching band events. Bea found joy in caring for friends, family and those in need.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by her service at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
