Betty Jean "BJ" Howard (née Barrineau) passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at the age of 84.
Beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Emily Barrineau, BJ was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Howard. She is also survived by her sister, Dawn Wood (Dave), as well as her dear friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by her Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
BJ had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Tiny Paws Rescue.
