Brian M. Moehler, Petty Officer First Class (MK1), passed away on July 10, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Johnstown, PA and currently resided in Cape May Courthouse, NJ.
Brian proudly served for 17 years on the following units: USCGC Grand Isle-Gloucester, MA, USCGC Aquidneck-Kingdom of Bahrain (Iraqi War), USCGC Cleat-Philadelphia, PA, Recruiter-Pittsburgh, PA, USCGC Osage-Sewickley, PA, Instructor-Cape May Training Center, NJ, and National Strike Force-Fort Dix, NJ.
Loving husband of Sandra (née Hillis). Devoted father of his 2 sons James and "Tyson". Also survived by his parents Ron and Ruth (née Krajac), his sister Jaime Smith, parents-in-law Jack and Pat Hillis (née Kelly), sisters-in-law Kelly and Chrissy Hillis, nephew Kyle Hillis, and nieces Mija and Naimi Lundgren, as well as family, friends, and many shipmates.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Wednesday, July 17th, 6-9 P.M. and Thursday, July 18th, 10 A.M.-12 P.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114. Funeral Service will be 12:15 P.M. at the funeral home Thursday afternoon. Interment will be 2:30 P.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
