Bridget G. Sassa

Bridget G. Sassa (née Rowen) passed away suddenly on May 13, 2026, at the age of 56. Beloved wife of Richard. Bridget was also predeceased by her first husband, Timothy Rose. Loving and devoted mother of Madison Rose and Moira Rose. Cherished sister of Joseph Rowen (Jacqueline), Erin Weiland (Brian), Kelli Franiak (Ken), and the late Sean Rowen. Bridget is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bridget carried the heart and spirit of a true Philadelphian everywhere she went. She was a devoted Eagles fan who loved cheering on her team and never missed the chance to talk football. Above all else, Bridget treasured being a mother to her girls, who were the center of her world. She also had a special love for her dogs, who brought her endless comfort and companionship throughout the years.

Bridget found her peace and happiness in North Wildwood, a place she loved deeply and where she created countless cherished memories with family and friends. She would often say that the beach was her "happy place," a place where she felt most at peace and truly at home. Whether sitting by the shore listening to the waves, enjoying the ocean breeze, or spending time with those she loved most, those moments brought her genuine joy and contentment.

Her sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Bridget will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of others. She will be terribly missed and forever loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday evening, June 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114), followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church (9700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114). Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
