Bruno "Pete" Wiater

Bruno “Pete” Wiater passed away on September 18, 2026. Beloved husband of Dolores (nee Ciesielka). Loving dad to Dennis (Judy), Steven (Ginny), and Raymond (Lisa). Cherished Pop to Ashley, Dennis, Eric (Lydia), Tyler (Ashley), and Lauren. Pete is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in the Nicetown section of the city, Pete later made his home in Northeast Philadelphia. In 1959, he married the love of his life, Dolores, beginning a beautiful marriage that would span more than 67 years. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and countless memories shared over the years.

Pete was a true handyman who could seemingly fix just about anything. He especially enjoyed working on cars and was always happiest when he had something to work on or a project to tackle. Pete spent most of his professional career with the Department of Defense, where he worked as a Logistics Manager.

In his spare time, Pete enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places and things. Whether taking a trip, working on a car, fixing something around the house, or simply spending time with those closest to him, Pete always enjoyed keeping busy.

Above all else, Pete was a devoted family man. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with Dolores, his children, grandchildren, and the family he loved so dearly. After more than six decades of marriage and a lifetime of memories, Pete leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Pete’s viewing on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church (9700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114), followed by his Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
