Obituary
GOLDSCHMIDT, Caitlyn (Christofas); 30, of Northeast Philadelphia, formerly of Washington Township, NJ, returned to Our Lord in the presence of her loving family. She is survived by her treasured son, Jackson Goldschmidt Pane; her husband Dan Christofas, her parents, Karen and Robert Goldschmidt of Collingswood, her brother Robert, Jr., and sister Jennifer, her grandfather, Richard McCartney of Holland, PA, as well as numerous beloved aunts and uncles and cousins. Caitlyn was born in Camden NJ in 1990 and was a graduate of Washington Township High School (2008) and of The Ohio State University (2012), where she received her degree in Human Resources. She was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority at OSU and served as its chapter president during her sophomore year. She worked as a recruiter for multiple firms, and most recently worked in sales for Airgas in Levittown, PA.
She enjoyed singing, arts and crafts, the beach and anything she did with her son- especially dancing and playing all his games. She was known for her beautiful smile, and for a heart always ready to reach out to others in need. She benefited from the help and love of many friends in recovery and worked hard to be such a friend and mentor to many more. But most importantly to her, she was a fun and loving mother to her young son Jackson. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her donations to Gift of Life will directly benefit the lives of two others. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13 at Saint Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 9-10:30 AM, followed immediately by Funeral Mass and celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to Rise Up Recovery LLC, 3405 Bristol Pike Bensalem, PA 19020. A college funding account has been established for Jackson- contributions can be made payable to College America for Jackson Henry Goldschmidt Pane, and mailed to Karen and Bob at 922 Eldridge Ave., Oaklyn NJ 08107. (Contributions are not tax-deductible to the donor).
