Obituary

Age 80, of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away on May 24, 2013, at the Veteran's Medical Center in Perry Point, Maryland, following a battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 28, 1933, the son of Leo and Johanna McGarvey, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Katherine (Williams) McGarvey; his two daughters, Anne Harach and Lori Loveday; his two stepsons, Ross and James Jennings; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Ed served in the US Army during the Korean War, then went on to a 28 year career as a pilot with Eastern Airlines. In recent years, he volunteered his time to Angel Flight Southeast. He was a friend to many, and a devoted member of The Silver Falcons, The Retired Eastern Pilots Association, and The American Legion Post 219. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 29, 2013, 9:00 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA, followed by his Memorial Service at 10 AM.
