Caroline M. Schonewolf passed away on May 19, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving Mother of Robert (Susan), Carolyn Trush (Chris), Richard (Cheryl), James (Sue) and the late Kathleen Whelan survived by her son in law Bernard Whelan. Beloved Grand mom of Ashley Weber (Joseph), Ryan Finnegan (Allison), Jennifer Whelan, Zachary, Kelsey, Tyler, Brett, Courtney and Michaela. Great grand mom of Grayson, Wyatt and John. Sister of Thomas Dever (Patricia).

Caroline was born at home in Port Richmond to Anna and Edward Dever as one of ten children. She devoted her life to her five children, whom she raised admirably on her own while also working full time at Nabisco for over forty years. Caroline loved to travel and enjoy time with her family and her many friends, especially those from the Primrose Seniors. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandsons. Caroline spent the last few years at Pine Run Nursing Care. We would like to thank all the amazing staff there. We also want to thank the staff at Dialysis and her amazing driver Brenda. Caroline passed away peacefully at Doylestown Hospital. We would like to thank the staff for the care they gave her. Caroline's greatest heartache was the passing of her daughter Kathy (32). We are at Peace knowing they are now together.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Sunday Eve May 23, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and also Monday morning 9:00 AM  10:00 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 am Christ the King Church.Interment private. In lieu of flowers family would prefer donations to Compassionate Friends USA, 48660 Pontiac Trail, Wixom, MI 48393 or St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in her memory.
