Catherine P. Hardiman

Catherine “Cass” Hardiman (née Flynn), age 88, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of William Hardiman for 67 years, Cass was a devoted mother to William Jr. (Beth), Bernard (Denise), and Christine Breccia (John). She was a cherished “Mom Mom” to Bernard, Colleen, Megan, and Kelly, and a proud great-grandmother to Nolan, Tanner, Cooper, Cora, and Eden, with baby Ryan expected in June.

She was predeceased by her siblings Patrick, Bernard, Mae, and Rose, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Cass was a proud graduate of St. Hubert High School for Girls. She began her career at Bell Telephone before dedicating herself to raising her family. Later, she worked as a school bus driver for 16 years. Following her retirement, Cass and Bill moved to North Wildwood, where they enjoyed an active and vibrant social life.

She was a dedicated member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Emerald Society, the Elks of North Wildwood, and the Knights of Columbus Shuffleboard Team. Cass especially cherished her Sunday jam sessions with her dear friends. She also served as the first president of the Women’s Auxiliary Club for the Liberty Bell Youth Organization, which continues to serve the community today.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by her service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
