Catherine D. Hood "Cathy" (nee Voce) age 73, passed away June 25, 2023, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  Beloved wife of William "Bill".  Born on September 16, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (nee Walters) Voce.  Devoted mother of Christina (Jerry) Saxton, William (Samantha) Hood, and James (Dominique) Hood.  Loving Grandmom of Morgan Saxton (Rob), Jerry Saxton, Delani Saxton (Michael), and Machrae Hood, Great Gram to Roscoe and Ronan.  Dear sister of Lenora Voce, Tony (Teresa) Voce, Frank Voce, Helena (Bill) Kelly, and the late Maryann McHugh (Joseph), Elizabeth Thierry (the late Bob), Martha Voce, and James Voce (Jody); sister in law of Ann Cashin (the late Mike), Joseph (Darlene) Hood, Harold (Connie) Hood, and Dennis (Mary) Hood.  Cathy will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, who she considered her children.

A graduate of John W. Hallahan High School, Cathy's favorite place to be was her shore house in Wildwood, NJ.  She loved being with her family who meant the world to her.  A true fighter who never gave up, she was a super hero to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who she loved unconditionally.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, June 29, 2023, 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM.
