Charles H. Kohler, Jr. died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on July 22, 2024.
Charlie is predeceased by his wife Ann Kohler (nee Shea), sister Gail Samsel, brother Andy Koher and Teddy Samsel, his mother Alice Samsel and father Charles H. Kohler, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marion (nee Thomas) and his sons Michael Kohler (Jill), Charles H. Kohler, III (Carolyn) and his daughters Christine Kohler-Jones (Mike) and Ashley Kohler. Charlie is also survived by his sisters Charlotte Willis, Ruth Pond, Kathleen Kohler, Liz Kohler and brothers Brian and Rich Kohler, nine grandchildren Brittney Sims, Nick McFadden, Tyler Jones, Miranda McFadden, Stephen Kohler, Rachael Kohler, Hailey Jones, CJ Kohler and Meadow Thomas and six great grandchildren Brynlee, Mattie, Nico, Noah, Aiden and Athena.
He had a love for all sports and played baseball, football and basketball throughout his youth and his adult year. He played hardball well into his 60's on his favorite team, the Yardley River Rats, where he shared many good memories with his teammates. He coached Little League Baseball and Football at FDR Junior High School.
Charlie worked in various fields throughout the years. He was the owner of Fitness First Health Club in Bristol where he spent his happiest years. He worked at Ownes-Illinois, Inc. in Croydon, Pa and was a freight distributor for Home Interiors & Gifts. Charlie enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped with Charlie's care during his illness, especially his good friend and ice cream buddy Denise Roach. Also his loving and caring nurses Jamie and Jess from Chandler Hall.
Friends and family are invited to wear your favorite sports jersey at his Celebration of Life service on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Harriman United Methodist Church (1700 Wilson Ave, Bristol, PA 19007) from 10:00AM-11:00AM, followed by his Funeral Service. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity in Charlie's name.
