Charles F. Hamer, Jr., age 92, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Charles was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He spent many years as a truck driver with the Teamsters Local 107 before retiring. Charles was also a passionate Phillies fan and an avid bowler who enjoyed the simple joys of life.

He was the beloved husband of the late Hilde Hamer and the loving father of Klaus (Christine), Patricia Toth (Edward), Charles Jr. (Joanne), Michael, and Joseph Hamer (Lisa). Affectionately known as "Pop," he will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Brian, Tommy, Christopher, Nicole, Michael, Casey, Alexis, Joey, Jordan, and Frankie; and by his great-grandchildren: Gage, Piper, Vivienne, Nolan, Rylan, Cady, and Madelyn. Charles is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
