Charlie passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (nee Wright) Manners, and brother of late Sarah (Alex) Preston. He is survived by his Wife Sally (nee Jackson) and 4 loving children, Cheri (Jaime) Manzo, CJ Manners, Ian (Kate) Manners and Mandy Manners his Grandchildren Mackenzie, Noah, Jane, Duncan, Alexa, Sara and Violet along with his many nieces and nephews.
Charlie graduated from Olney High school in 1963 he later joined the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. After serving he began working for the telephone company (Bell Tell) where he met his wife Sally.
Charlie was a true proud Scotsman and would tell you real men wear kilts and cry. Charlie always had a love for anything outdoors. He was known for making memories with his family such as driving his boat up and down the river, camping and later in life purchasing a home in the Poconos for his family to enjoy.
If you were so lucky to know Chaz you have a story or two to tell. He played a part in so many people's lives, not only did he make memories for his children he made sure all of their friends enjoyed those times and made memories too.
Later in life he would babysit his grandkids, build them forts or wrestle like he was 20 again. Sometimes earning him questionable looks from the other adults in the room. He was the best Pop-Pop and made sure the kids always knew they could come to him for anything and how loved they were.
He will be sorely missed but the memories will live on!
