Cheryl L. Pepe, 67, of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on September 21st, 2023, with her family lovingly by her side.

Cheryl was born on November 5th, 1955 to George and Louise Ward in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to multiple residences in Philadelphia, Cheryl lived in Croydon, PA, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School (now Truman) in 1973.

Cheryl was strong-willed and independent, but she also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, loyal, and brave. She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them - and if you knew her, you knew it. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, and strength, and was full of love for those who went before her. She will be missed dearly.

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, George and Louise. She is survived by her brothers George Ward Jr. and Tom Ward, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, as well as her close friend, John Mooney Sr.

Her canine companions were dear to her. Schooch, Mooch, and Pookie are on a long walk with Cheryl now.

Services will be held at St. Katherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 9700 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114 on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at 11:00 AM - with the gathering starting at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St. New York, NY 10128-6804 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 two organizations that Cheryl herself contributed to often.
