Claire Boyle

Claire Boyle (née Georger), of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 99. She was the beloved wife of the late George Boyle and loving mother of Kevin Boyle (Nita).

A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Claire was a graduate of Hallahan High School. She worked for many years as a secretary for the American Legion and was a dedicated volunteer at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. She was also a longtime member of St. Katherine's Primrose Club.

Claire and her husband, George, shared a deep love of Irish dancing. In 1976, during Philadelphia’s Bicentennial celebration, they opened their home to help establish the USS Intrepid Association when the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid was in Philadelphia.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
