Clyde E. Crum passed away April 7, 2024. He was 70 years young. Loving son of the late Samuel and Rita. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine (Lerner). Loving brother to Brian (Mary) and John (Susan). Dear uncle to many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Clyde is also survived by many loving cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Burns Funeral Home (1514 Woodbourne Road Levittown, PA 19057) from 9:30AM-11:00AM, followed by Words of Remembrance.

Clyde was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of '70. In addition to Pennsylvania, his travels led him to living and working in Arizona, California and Florida.

Clyde was an avid and exceptional guitarist. From the age of 14 that was the one constant in his life.  While he tried his hand at many vocations - too numerous to list -  it was his love of music that never waivered. As a founding member of Tuesday's Gone and Bakers Cousin, and contributing member to Drastic, One Tribe and Hot 'Lanta, he impressed all who saw and heard him play & sing. He was often asked to "sit in" with many bands, and was never overmatched.  He was always willing to show others a lick or technique to help them improve their playing also.  Known mostly for his tough rockin' style, he could also surprise with an unexpected delicate number on acoustic.
Clyde was also an aspiring writer, based mostly in the adventure fiction genre. He had 2 of his works self-published, and had several more in various stages of completion. His writing was another outlet for his creative imagination, which brought him great joy when his hands would no longer cooperate to his liking on the guitar strings.

Clyde was generous with his time and his talents, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
