Cornelius J. "Neal" passed away suddenly July 23, 2020.  He was 63.  Neal was a retired Police Officer with the City of Philadelphia after 33 years of service. Beloved son of the late Patrick and Catherine Kane.  Loving brother of Frank (Barbara) and Maureen Merlino (Salvatore).  Dear uncle of Salvatore (Caroline), Nicholas (Erin), and Christy Merlino; great uncle of Matthew, Charlotte, Baileigh, and Colton Merlino.  Relatives, friends, and members of the Fraternal Order of Police are invited to his viewing Thursday, July 30, 2020, 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church.  Interment is Private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104 in his memory would be appreciated.
