David J. Casper passed away April 13, 2019 at the age of 77. A retired Philadelphia Fire Department Captain. Beloved husband of 54 years to Lucy (nee Bilotta). Devoted father to David (Wendy) and Donna West (Michael). Dear grandfather of David, James, and Chloe. Brother of Margaret Laigaie, Eleanore Corcoran Kruc, and the late John Casper. He is also survived by his large, extended, loving family. David enjoyed time with his family, shuffle board, bowling and the casinos. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, April 22 from 6-9 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and Tuesday, April 23 from 8:30-9:30 AM at St. Jerome Church, 8100 Colfax St. Phila., PA 19136 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family prefers donations in his memory to the Philadelphia Fire Fighters Local 22 Widows Fund, 415 N. 5th St. Phila., PA 19123.
