Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Olsen).  Devoted father of Ashton and Sierra.  Loving brother of Robert (Diane), William (Anne), and Margaret.  Dear nephew of William Tyas; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.  David was a U.S. postal worker for 23 years, was an Eagle Scout, former scout leader and district commissioner.  He  served on the Board of Deacons and Trustees at Kensington United Church of Christ. He was a Sunday School teacher and  Church Council President  at St. David's Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed coaching girls soccer CYO at St. Katherine of Siena Church.  Dave was very active in the community and was a friend to all who met him. Dave will be sadly missed by his loving extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and  Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 9:00AM to 9:45AM at St. David's Lutheran Church, 9169 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by his service at 10:00AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. David's Lutheran Church in his memory would be appreciated.
