Deacon John J. Pfeifer, lovingly known as "Jack," passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Maureen Pfeifer (née O'Brien). Devoted father of Dorle Pfeifer (Dessire Paradis) and Jack Pfeifer, and a proud and loving grandpop to Mason Pfeifer and Lucia Pfeifer. He also held a special place in the hearts of Matthew Dyer, Finnegan Gober, and Maddalina Wickham, to whom he was "like a grandpop." Dear son of John and Marlene Pfeifer. He is also survived by a sister Marlene (Tom), his godmother Aunt Mary Smith, his brothers in law Dave (Pat), William (Terri), Joseph and Daniel several nieces, nephews, cousins, his kidney donor Joseph Murphy (Christine) and his faithful fur baby, Nicky.
Jack's life was one of deep faith and service. An ordained deacon with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia since 2017, he served with unwavering commitment and compassion. He was a devoted member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Newtown, PA, for over 34 years, where his presence and ministry touched countless lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor Jack's life at the Rite of Reception of the Body on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA. A viewing will follow from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, June 2, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
