Obituary
On February 28, 2023 Debi Marquart Guenzel took one last ride on the escalator of life after a 25 yearlong battle with brain cancer.
Debi was born and raised in Fishtown and was a 1978 graduate of Hallahan High School. She will be dearly missed by her husband of (almost) 39 years, Mark Guenzel, her children Erika and Karl Guenzel, her sister Barbara Perkowski (Adam) and brother Robert Marquart (Mary), her cats Ziggy
and Rocky, and many more cousins, nieces, and nephews. Debi was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elsie Marquart, King the K-9 German Shephard, several cats, and her life-long favorite musician David Bowie.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing March 3, 2023, at Burns Funeral Home,1514 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown PA 19057 from
9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Service. Debi will be laid to rest alongside her parents and grandparents at Our Lady of Grace
Cemetery . Her family would like to extend a thank you to Neurosurgeon Kevin Judy of Jefferson for his skill and expertise which gave us 25 years with her. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debi's name can be made to the Trenton Cats Rescue (trentoncats.org).
