IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra Joan
Stackwicz
October 8, 1952 – March 9, 2025
It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Debra Stackwicz age 72, who transitioned peacefully at home with her daughters by her side.
Currently residing in Newtown Square, but originally from Aubrey Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. There she lived her best years with husband Andrew Stackwicz and raising her daughters Katelyn Holzerman (Stackwicz) and Jennifer Stackwicz.
May she be reunited with loved ones who already took their journey. At the front of the line, the love of her life, Andrew Stackwicz (58). They were married for 29 years on this earth, but never really gone from each other as the years went on. Her little sister Brenda Jerde, younger brother Scott, and parents Norman Jerde and Catherine Crider.
Debra will continue to watch over her family and friends. Sisters, brothers, and in laws, Lynda Jerde, Allen Walch, Craig Jerde, Greg and Caroline Bentley, Janis McElrath and Mark Jerde. Nieces and nephews, Krista McElrath, Cristina Jerde, Perrin Bentley, Meredith Bentley, Andrew Bentley, Gillian Bentley, Craig and Angie Spross. And the children that call her Grammy, Andrew, Jonathan and Genevieve.
Decades working as a pediatric Registered Nurse, from oncology to recovery, speaks to Debra's strength and compassion towards others. Always being someone you could turn to for help, advice or someone to talk to about anything. Those qualities were fostered in everyday life and carried over into her work, which she loved dearly.
Debra is truly the heart of our family and she will be missed beyond words could describe.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to The Hero Thrill Show , whose mission it is to pay for the college tuition for children of Philadelphia police officers and firefighter killed in the line of duty.
