Obituary

It is with profound sadness and hearts filled with love that we announce the passing of Dennis P. Quinn, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, veteran, and friend.

Dennis passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 4, 1946, to the late Charles Francis and Mae Cecilia (née McConnell) Quinn, Dennis was the youngest son of the family. He was predeceased by his siblings Charles "Buddy," Marlene, and Martin. Raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, Dennis cherished the time he spent with his siblings and friends and always enjoyed making new friendships along the way.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he began his career as a graphic artist at Walter T. Armstrong, where he worked for many years.

Dennis had an unwavering passion for Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and all things related to the Civil War. A true history buff, he loved reading books and learning about history. He also enjoyed trips to the casino, playing poker, spending time at the beach, fishing, visiting amusement parks, and taking spontaneous road trips.

Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Dennis was quite the jokester and loved playing pranks on family and friends. His practical jokes only grew bigger and better with the arrival of each new grandchild, bringing laughter and unforgettable memories to those around him.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Miriam Quinn (née Bender). He was an incredibly proud father to his daughters Kelly (Michael), Traci (Jay), Kate (Ray), and the late Maggi Bender-Sisco. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than his cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Michael, Gabriella, Annie, Dennis, Isabella, Kate, Thomas, and Patrick, and his beloved great-granddaughters, Lilyanna and Esmeray. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114), followed by his Funeral Service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis's memory may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
