Dolores V. (Dee) Meredith (née White) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on January 19, at the age of 80. She was born on December 6, 1945. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Helen (née Kelly) and her brothers Jack and Edward. She graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in 1964. She married Walter Meredith in 1968, and together they shared 57 beautiful years.
Dee was a loving and devoted mother of her three children, Dennis (Tania), Denise (Carmen), and Regina (Fran). She was a dedicated medical assistant to Drs. Blinkoff and Jelen and she was greatly loved and respected by her patients. Dee had a love for music- her favorite artists were Connie Francis, Patsy Cline, John Denver, Neil Diamond, and Barry Manilow. She was comforted by old, familiar TV shows like Lawrence Welk, The Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie. Most of all, Dee’s pride and joy were her grandchildren- Ian, Isabella, Olivia, Alexander and her pumpkin, Lilianna. She was the proudest grandmother and was always excited to share stories of their accomplishments. She is survived by her husband, Walter; her three children; her five grandchildren; and too many to count brothers- and sisters-in-law who were more like brothers and sisters; and countless best friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, January 24, 2026, 9:30 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. Additionally, her family will participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s annually in Dee’s honor- consider joining her team Dee’s Memory Makers!
