Donald "Scotty" Faith 64, died peacefully in his home on December 27th in Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Greenock, Scotland in 1956, he emigrated with his family at age 11, settling in Philadelphia where he attended Lincoln High School.
Donald was a proud member of Local 1856, retiring after a 35 year career as a skilled carpenter.
Donald was a dreamer, a voracious reader and longtime science fiction fan. He was a lover of photography and collected antique cameras. He was a fisherman, a craftsman, a die hard Eagles fan, and a generous provider to his entire extended family.
He was political and well informed, enjoying a chance to spar about current events just for the fun of it.
Donald knew music. He was a quiet man who played his vinyl at full volume. He lived for rock and roll, passing musical education to his children no matter how hard they resisted.
In 1974, he met Eileen Scanlon at the local northeast Dunkin' Donuts where they both worked. Through their 45 years of lasting marriage, Donald could fondly recall the first time he saw her, as if no time had passed. Donald is celebrated by his children: Thomas, Katherine and Julie, preceded in death by Robert and Bryan. He leaves behind his loving siblings: Rhonda, Heather, John, Alec, his mother Mary (father Robert, deceased) and his grandchildren Ewan, Elsie and Mae B. Eileen, his loyal lapdog Archie, and his many loved ones will miss him beyond measure.
