Doris H. Palmer, age 95, passed away on February 3, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, William Palmer.  Beloved mother of Denise Hamer (Robert), Linda Tidy (David) and the late William, Jr. and Gary Palmer (the late Karen).  Loving grandmother of William (Lisa), Jeff (Robyn), Nicole (Anthony), Megan, Rachael (Justin), David (Natasha) and Lynn (Bill); great grandmother of Will, Marisa, Ellianna, Justin, Jaxon, Liam, Benny, and James.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dory always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say.  She wasn't one to complain and she was grateful for any kindness shone to her.  Dory was affectionately known as the "Queen of Halloween".  Her costumes and parties were legendary.  She eventually turned every holiday into an occasion to at least wear a hat.  She was all about family, loved to cook, and made wonderful memories for them.  Dory loved to tell stories, she was the family historian.  Her quick wit and one-liners will be cherished memories that will remain forever in our hearts.

Relative and friends are invited to her Viewing on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10:30-11:30 A.M. at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114.  Funeral Service 11:45 A.M.  Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia , 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104, would be appreciated.
