Dorothy "Dot" Eckert (née Sondinger) passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025 at the age of 95.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Eckert, Sr., Dot was the cherished mother of Theresa McBride (the late Patrick), Richard Eckert (Terry), Karen Napolitan (Joseph), and the late Frederick Eckert, Jr.

She was a devoted grandmother to Heather, Jason, Jeff, Devon, Jacquie, Amanda, Joey, Nick, and Samantha, and a loving great-grandmother—affectionately known as "GiGi"—to Aidan, Lili, Jackson, Scarlett, Michael, Dylan, Charli, Sutton, Evelyn, Jamison, Carter, Nathan, Avery, and Sofia.

Dot was the dear sister of the late Gus, Helen, Mary, and Anna.

Above all, Dot treasured her family. She found joy in every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, and especially loved family vacations, whether at the shore or the mountains, that created lasting memories for generations.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday September 23, 2025, 2025 at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 from 9:30-10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to VITAS Hospice, 1787 Sentry Parkway, Suite 405 Blue Bell, PA 19422 would be appreciated.
