Dorothy (Dottie) Marie Migliore, age 81, of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026.
Dottie was born in 1944 in Philadelphia to parents Dorothy Claire Westfield Dwyer and Godfrey Vincent Dwyer. A proud graduate of the Class of 1962 at John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School (Philadelphia), Dottie spent the early years of her professional life working in a variety of administrative positions in the Philadelphia area. During this time she met her future husband, Gerald (Jerry) Migliore. Dottie and Jerry wed in 1971 and moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1973, as his employer transferred their headquarters to that area. Dottie and Jerry returned to the Philadelphia area in 1976 to open an accounting practice, which subsequently became Migliore, Smith & Cooney Certified Public Accountants. Dottie took on the role of lead bookkeeper at the firm, and over the course of 25 years, her steady hand and detailed approach helped enable the success and growth of the practice.
A family woman at heart, Dottie’s true calling was found in caring for her loving husband and three sons. She spent her free time creating a wonderful home, where countless delicious meals and holiday celebrations were enjoyed. Dottie’s house was a place where all were welcome and many, many good times were had.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Jerry, and three sons, Jeffrey (Sue), Matthew (Brooke), and Todd (Tejuanna), along with two loving sisters, Patricia Dwyer Digregorio (Dr. G. John Digregorio, deceased) and Denise Dwyer Krenski (Jeffery), and three grandchildren Nicholas, Taylor, and Benjamin. In addition four step children, Gerald, Jr. (Sheryl), Constance, Catherine (James), and Chrisann (Victor).
Dottie is pre-deceased by her brother John Dwyer (Maryanne).
A memorial to honor Dottie’s life and legacy will be held on September 30 at 9:45 AM to 11:15 AM, St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM. Interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Dottie’s honor can be made to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at CHOP Foundation, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178 or CHOP.EDU/GIVE, a place Dottie held close to her heart.
Dottie lived her life in service to her family and friends, and her memory will forever be a blessing.
May God grant you always…
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moon beam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.
