Dorothy Marie Powers (née DuMond) passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 2, 2024, at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Powers. Dorothy was a devoted mother to Kathy Higgins (Tim), Patti Powers, and Debbie Dole. She was a loving grandmother to Tommy, Chrissy, Jimmy, Andrew, Christopher, Patrick, and Katie, and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church, located at 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Dorothy's memory.
