Obituary

Edward F. Collins, Sr., of Trevose, PA, passed away July 20, 2012, after a wonderful life filled with love. A graduate of St. Josephs Prep in 1950 and Temple University 1952. Edward formerly owned and operated Suburban Construction Co. from 1955 to 1960, Collins Carpets from 1958 to 1976, and S & G Pest Control from 1975 to 1996. A member of the Air Naval Reserve for 16 years, he was the Scoutmaster for Tooop 76 at St. Stephens Church, a member of Chapel of Four Chaplains, Man of the Year for Feasterville Businessmens Assoc., Northeast Shrine Club and Bucks County Shrine Club. A member of the LuLu Shrine Jesters and Quetzelcoath, an active member of LuLu Shriners Plymouth Meeting, PA, and twice master of Joseph H. Brown Lodge #751. Edward also enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling and camping with his family and three other families.
He is the beloved husband of 59 years to Georgine (nee Fekelman), devoted father of Edward and his wife Lisa, David and his wife Joyce, Chris and his wife Christine, Lois Lahm and her husband Paul and Tom and his wife Jenney; also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and his sister in law Lois Kirkpatrick and her husband Jack. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, 1:00 P.M.at St. Stephens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 E. Street Rd., Feasterville, PA., followed by his Masonic Service at 1:45 PM, and his Memorial Service 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140 or to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Roof Fund, 65 E. Street Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053 in his memory would be appreciated.
