Mr. Erwin was a graduate of West Catholic High School.  A proud veteran of the United States Navy.  A devoted member of St. Anselm Parish since 1965 of which he was a CCD teacher for 25 years and an active member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.  Beloved husband of the late Joyce.  A d evoted father of James P. (Cheryl), Edward H. Jr. (Melanie Majer), and Marianne Chmelko (Michael).  Dear grandpop of Colleen (Sean), Megan (Frank), Katie, Patricia (Ryan), Kelley, and Patrick, great grandpop to James L., dear brother of Raymond and Joseph (Donna), also survived by his nephew Paul and his niece Kathleen.  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday 9:30 AM, St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Society of The St. Vincent dePaul, c/o St. Anselm Church at the above address in his name would be appreciated.
