Edward W. McDonald
Edward W. McDonald passed away on the morning of March 19, 2016, at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after a long battle with cancer. He was 60 years old.
Edward was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1955, and was the third of five children of Lewis McDonald and Ida (Griess) McDonald.
Edward was an easy going guy and enjoyed watching the Eagles and Flyers. At an early age he embraced his passion of music and taught himself how to play drums in a band.
Edward was a proud father and grandfather and is survived by his significant other Millie Brennan, his children Tina M. Martinez (Bryan A. Long), Bryan F. McDonald, Megan E. McDonald; grandchildren Logan E. Long, Bryan McDonald, Bryanna McDonald, Destiny McDonald, Robert Stewart, Christopher Colon, Jayla McDonald, Chance Cottom, Jayanna Jackson, Eden McDonald and sister Debra McDonald.
Edward was preceded in death by his father Lewis McDonald, mother Ida McDonald, brothers Richard McDonald, David McDonald and his sister Charlotte McDonald.
A viewing will be held at Burns Funeral Home on 1428 E. Columbia Ave. on March 28, 2016, from 6-8pm.
