Eileen Mary Finegan (née Haviland) passed into eternal life peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 25, 2025, at the age of 93.
Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Finegan, Eileen was a devoted and loving mother to Mary Kelly, William (Clare), and Eileen D'Angelo (Gino). She was the attentive and cherished Nanna of Sophia (Adam), Julia, Martha, Susanna, Charlotte, William Augustine, Clare, Virginia, Katharine, and Beatrice Finegan, and John Paul, Therese, Eugenia, Marc, and Maria Regina D'Angelo.
Eileen was the cherished daughter of the late Charles H. and Blanche Kelly Haviland and the dear sister of the late Blanche Haviland Moore. She will be deeply missed by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended family in Ireland.
A woman of deep faith and devotion, Eileen was a longtime and active member of the Legion of Mary. She dedicated 27 years of her life to teaching, touching countless lives with her warmth, patience, and wisdom.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at her viewing on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM.
A second viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, 10:00 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eileen's memory can be made to St. Katherine Drexel Shrine at the Cathedral.
