Eleanor "Ellie" Allen, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late George and Bertha Allen (née McCombs), and a devoted sister to the late George, John, Joseph, and Edward Allen; Grace Pounder, Virginia Berry, Mary Turnbull, and Bernadette Hughes. Ellie is lovingly survived by her brothers Donald Allen and Robert Allen (Linda), her sister Agnes Tenaglia, and a large extended family that spans over 135 nieces and nephews across four generations.

Ellie was a longtime and valued employee of SmithKline French, where she dedicated many years of loyal service before retiring in 2004. Her strong work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Outside of work, Ellie's heart belonged entirely to her family. She never missed a birthday, graduation, or special celebration—every milestone was important to her. Family was everything to Ellie, and she poured her love and attention into every moment spent with those she held dear.

A proud graduate of Hallahan Catholic High School, Ellie went on to earn her degree from LaSalle University—an achievement she cherished. Known for her kind heart and giving spirit, she devoted much of her time to helping others, including volunteering as a coach for first and second grade students and dedicating many years of service to the Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Ellie's life on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. William's Catholic Church (6200 Rising Sun Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111), from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Ellie will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love and service lives on in the many lives she touched.
